Kalimutxo in Hossegor

Vince opened the Kalimutxo bar on the Place des Landais, around 2005, and it has been a local secret since then. The bar is tiny and feels crowded with only a handful of people inside, but there is a large terrace outside and when the weather is fine it is packed.

Cream Cafe in Seignosse

Cream cafe is situated by the beach in Bourdaines Le Penon, just a few kilometres from Hossegor. Quieter than the bars in the younger Place des Landaises in Hossegor, Cream is home to Carwen Williams' famous Taffy Nachos, half price spicy chicken wings (They're REALLY good !! ) and of course the "Wednesday Jam" night, where locals and tourists get together with professional musicians and jam.

Dick's Sand Bar in Hossegor

DSB has been open in Hossegor since 2003, and is world famous as a party bar. Open 7 nights a week, until 2am, and situated in the heart of the Place des Landaises, this bar is a must for anyone visiting the town. Dave Potter, the manager and part owner is a one man wealth of local information, epecially when it comes to the surf scene. The evidence is all over the walls which are covered with photos of people partying with the likes of Kelly Slater, Taj Burrow, Rabbit Bartholomew and even Pat Gav.

New this year is Clare's, fruit smoothies and toastie bar, serving fresh pulped juices and a variety of hot toasted sandwiches.

DSB is also THE place to watch live sports. They have three large plasma screens, and two sattelite links, enabling them to show 2 different sporting events and a surf video at the same time. They show all UK premiership matches and rugby games from around the world.

Internet access is also available through the free wifi service or the 4 public access terminals.
