I am now working for Murphco, setting up the new Profixdirect shop, on ZA les Deux Pins, Capbreton. We will be selling specialist carpentry hardware and tools. There will be an online shop where you can order or check our stock levels. My new job will mean that development of this site will be slower than anticipated. We have some new visitors to our garden. Deer. How cool is that !!

Cream Café has picked up the baton and launched the first "Full English Breakfast" in town. The "Proper Breakfast" is cooked and served by Simon Swanky, local painter and decorator (Check the "building services" section on this site).

It is now 7 weeks since we placed our order for a phone line, internet and TV package from Orange (used to be France Telecom). The only reason that this blog entry is here is due to our incredibly generous neighbours Dedé and Lulu.

We have just bought a house in St Vincent de Tyrosse. For me and my wife, this is the first time in 10 years we have had a fixed abode! We have been doing winter seasons in the French Alps, and summer seasons in the French surf town, Hossegor in the Bay of Biscay, on the south west coast of France.
Inspired by Sky TV, Guinness and Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, we are going to live the "Good Life" and grow spuds and stuff.
